Cedar Lane residents bowl strikes

Residents of the Cedar Lane nursing and rehabilitation facility will enjoy the rest of their summer competing for the title of the best bowling and tennis player-  with the help of the Nintendo Wii , a popular interactive video game system.

The video game system was donated to Cedar Lane by the Naugatuck Valley Community College School of Nursing Class of 2009 and the Home-to-Home Foundation.

The Home-to-Home Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by local critical care pulmonary specialist Dr. Richard Silverman, works to improve quality of life of nursing home residents through volunteerism and extensive community involvement.  Helping to supply wish list items like the Nintendo Wii system is one of the organization’s goals among many others to enhance programming and increase human contact among nursing home residents.

For more information on the Home-to-Home Foundation, visit the website at www.hometohomefoundation.org or contact Jennifer Fiorillo, Executive Director at (203) 591-9061.
